Kids Program

We have two excellent programs for kids. The Teens and Little Champions programs are great for building confidence, fitness, and winning attitude and self defense skills needed to go out in the world and be able to face it head on.

Fundamentals & Advanced

You will start learning the Fundamentals: it's a fun and great workout which will teach you the the self defense and basics of Jiu Jitsu. The Advanced Program is available as soon as you complete the fundamentals and will continue on through the course of your Jiu Jitsu path.

Competition Class

We believe competition can help improve your ability to persevere in adverse situations, help you focus your attention on weaknesses and improve your training by giving you short term goals to focus on.

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu

A Japanese judoka, prizefighter, and former member of the Kodokan named Mitsuyo Maeda emigrated to Brazil in the 1910s where a local influential businessman named Gastão Gracie helped him get established. In return for his aid, Maeda taught judo to Gastão’s son Carlos, who then taught the art to his brothers, including Hélio Gracie. Through their own study and development, Carlos and Hélio are regarded as the originators of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu as a style distinct from Japanese Jiu Jitsu. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) focuses on grappling and ground fighting. The techniques of BJJ focus on the principles of leverage, balance, and timing allowing a weaker, smaller with limited athletic ability to defend them self against a larger and stronger opponent. The art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is comprised of many sweeps, reversals, chokes, arm locks, and leg locks. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu today continues to evolve as an art and sport.
